YLLZA BAFTIARI

VIOLA

Yllza started playing the violin in the class of Prof. Sihana Badivuku when she was nine years old. When she was sixteen, she started playing the viola in the class of Prof. Jovan Bicevski at the SCMB Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Skopje. She graduated in the class of Prof. Frosina Balova. Yllza has performed numerous concerts with the brother, Shkelzen Baftiari, who is a pianist. She has also performed as a member of chamber ensembles and has appeared as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic, the Chamber Orchestra of the SMBC Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Italy and the Chamber Orchestra Soloists of FMU. She has also performed as a member of international orchestras, such as CEI Orchestra and Jugest Sinfonie Orchester giving performances in Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland. Yllza is also a member of the Manheimer Philharmoniker for the last three years, performing with eminent soloists such as Martha Argerich, in Europe’s most prestigious halls: Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and Queen Elizabeth Hall in Antwerp. She was a member of the Kosovo Philharmonic for eight years and became a member of the Macedonian Philharmonic in 2020. In 2021 she celebrates five years as a member of the orchestra of Jeunesses Musicales Macedonia. Yllza regularly records film music with the F.A.M.E.’s Orchestra.

Yllza spends her free time with her son and enjoys traveling.
