Anna Kondratenko

Anna Kondratenko was born in Novosibirsk, Russia, where she began playing the violin when she was 4 years old. She began her music education at the Special Music School in the class of O. Marchenko and A. Gvozdev and later continued her studies in the class of V. Tretyakov at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, where she graduated in 2004. As a soloist and concertmaster, she has performed with the Youth Symphony Orchestra (Novosibirsk), the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra (Novosibirsk), International Symphony Orchestra (Michigan, USA), Klassische Philharmonie Bonn (Germany), Philharmonie der Nationen and other orchestras in Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Germany, Spain, France, Brazil, USA, Malaysia, China, Lebanon and Japan.
She has also participated in masterclasses (Z. Brohn, D, Zigmondi), as well as festivals, amongst which are: Mozarteum (Austria), Holzhausen Musiktagen (Germany), etc. She is the winner of numerous all-Russian and international competitions: Erdenko and Mravinsky in Russia and J. Neaman in Germany. Two years ago, she founded the Philharmonic Quartet with musicians from the Orchestra of the Macedonian Philharmonic, with whom she performs at national and international festivals. At the moment Anna works as the concertmaster and soloist of the orchestra of the Macedonian Philharmonic and as concertmaster and soloist of the F.A.M.E.’s Project Orchestra in Skopje.
“As a native Russian, I spend every free moment during the day with a book, since I was a child. When I was young, I used to read while I was practicing the violin. It is not desirable for me to go into a good bookstore, because I completely forget about time and I buy books with all of the available funds I have on me.”
