VLATKO MITEV
PRCUSSIONS
Vlatko was born in 1970 in Strumica. He completed his secondary music education at the SMBC Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Skopje, in the percussion class of Prof. Emil Klan and Prof. Zoran Spasovski. After completing his secondary music education, he entered the Faculty of Music in Skopje in the class of Prof. Emil Klan and later graduated in the class of Prof. Zoran Spasovski. In 1991 he received a scholarship from the Macedonian Philharmonic and he was a scholarship holder until completing his studies in 1995. He became a permanent percussion member of the Macedonian Philharmonic during the next year. He has performed with many ensembles and symphonic orchestras, amongst which are the chamber ensemble St. Sofia, Skopje Wind Quintet, Gajdov Quartet, M.P. Quartet from Skopje, whose members invited him to record a CD with them.
He was also invited by the Turkish National Television to be a part of the Balkan Orchestra, performing at the Balkan Music Festival in Skopje. Vlatko has also performed at the Skopje Summer Festival, Bitola Summer Festival, Ohrid Summer Festival, as well as at festivals in Croatia, Serbia, Bosna, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Germany, Oman, China, Spain, etc.
