ALEKSANDRA CHURUKOVSKA
DOUBLE BASS
Aleksandra was born in 1995 in Bitola. She began and completed her music education at the SMS in Bitola (2010 – 2014), in the class of Prof. Nikola Baljarevski. She continued her studies at the Faculty of Music in Skopje in the classes of Prof. Petrush Petrushevski and Prof. Velko Todevski, later graduating in the class of Prof. Aleksandar Pop Hristov in 2018.
In 2013 she attended the Interlochen Summer Music Camp in Michigan, USA, where she attended lessons in symphonic and chamber music playing with Prof. Lawrence Hurst and Prof. Jack Budrow.
In 2016 and 2018 she had the honour to perform as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic. In 2017, 2018 and 2019 she toured Italy with the youth symphony orchestra ESYO, conducted by maestro Igor Coretti-Kuret. In 2018 and 2019 she was also a member of the Balkan Symphony Orchestra in Bulgaria (Plovdiv and Varna). She is a member of the Youth Chamber Orchestra Sasha Nikolovski – Gjumar and the Bitola Chamber Orchestra since 2015.
She has also performed with many orchestras as a part-time collaborator, including the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, Kosovo Philharmonic, F.A.M.E.’s Project and the Macedonian Philharmonic, where she became a permanent member of the double basses in 2019.
