Petar Makarievski
Petar Makarievski was born in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. In 2003 Makarievski earned a Master of Music degree in piano performance at State Music Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria in class of Prof. Anton Dikov. In 2011 he was awarded with teaching assistant position at Georgia State University in Atlanta, USA. During his stay in Atlanta, Makarievski actively performs solo recitals and chamber music. He held a part-time collaborative pianist at the same University. He organizes concerts and festivals through the French Alliance and the Goethe Institute in Atlanta. As a laureate at the Instrumental Concerto Competition “Brumby” in Atlanta, he notes successful critics and was offered to perform with several orchestras in Atlanta. Makarievski actively performs in Macedonia; Germany; Bulgaria; USA; and the Balkan region. He enjoys performing chamber music and appears as a pianist in various chamber formations, and a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra as well. Makarievski has a long list of job appointments such as: piano professor at State Music School inTetovo,Macedonia; part-time accompanist at the Macedonian Opera and Ballet; an official piano accompanist at several International Competitions in Pristina, Kosovo; piano assistant at Georgia State University in Atlanta, USA; chamber music professor, piano professor and collaborative pianist positions at State Music and Ballet School in Skopje, Macedonia. Since 2019 he teaches and holds a collaborative piano position at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje, Macedonia.
