Elena Mitrevska
Elena Mitrevska completed a degree in choral and orchestra conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, where she graduated with honors. Mitrevska was a member of the Arnold Schoenberg Choir of Vienna for seven seasons and has, therefore, worked on operatic and concert repertoires with conductors such as: Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Claudio Abbado, Bernard Haitink, Simon Rattle, Rene Jacobs and Cornelius Meister among others. Since 2012, she has been the Assistant conductor and Chorus master in the same choir for concert projects and for the opera productions at Theater an der Wien. In December 2014 she received the Erwin Ortner Foundation Award for promoting talented youth in the field of choral conducting. Mitrevska conducted orchestras such as Jeunesses Musicales Macedonia chamber orchestra, Wiener Kammerorchester, Macedonian Philharmonic, Oviedo Filarmonıa and Malmö Opera Orchestra. She took the responsibility as an orchestra conductor in Don Giovanni production, November 2022 at the Ópera de Oviedo. She has been the chorus master at the Ópera de Oviedo between 2016 and 2020 and a guest chorus master at Opéra National de Lyon in 2021. Since 2020 she has the same position at Malmo Opera where she has upcoming productions well as orchestra conductor for Carmen by Georges Bizet in season 2025/26. Mitrevska has been invited to work on several projects with the Danish National Radio Choir and Danish National Vocal Ensemble.
