Viktor Ilieski was born in 1979. He studied trombone at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, graduating in 2002 in the class of Prof. Gjorgji Stefanovski, where he also compleated his master's studies.During his higher education he took part in many concerts organized by the Academy as a soloist, as a member of chamber ensambles and as a member of all other projects with the academic symphony orchestra. Ilieski also took part in many seminars: the international festival of classical music "Interfest- Bitola", lead by Kiril Ribarski, Seminar for brass instruments in Dubrovnik directed by Swedish Prof. Sven Erik Eriksson.

Victor Ilieski has been awarded multipe times in national and international competitions, of which more important are: Special First Prize at the International Competition in Novi Sad (1998); Special First Prize as a member of a brass quintet at the National Chamber Music Competition (2003); Special First Prize at the Yamaha competition for brass instruments (2003) organized in Macedonia by Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe.

He is an active member of the Fame’s Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra since 2007, a member of the Big Band Orchestra of the Macedonian Radio Television, as well as the Big Band of the Jazz Association of Macedonia. He achieved his greatest success as a member of the No Borders Orchestra, whose members are one of the best musicians from the former Yugoslav republics. As a member of this orchestra, Viktor Ilieski has recorded a CD at the hall of the Slovenian Philharmonic in 2013 for one of the most prestigious record companies - Deutsche Grammophon. In 2014, the chamber orchestra of No Borders has been formed, composed of 12 musicians, with which Ilieski embarked on a world tour organized by the South African Third World Bunfight Production. There has been performances in the following cities/countries: Brussels, Rotterdam, Vienna, London (Barbican Centre), Girona, Lisbon, Tarbes, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Paris (8 performances), Hamburg, Poitiers, Ljubljana, Marseilles, Naples, Athens, South Korea (Asian Culture Complex Arts Theatre), Australia (Brisbane Festival). All performances were followed by excellent reviews (5 stars in The Telegraph, La Libre, DC Metro theater arts etc…).

In Macedonia Ilieski takes part in many festivals: Ohrid summer festival, Skopje summer festival, Heraclea nights, Shtip summer festival, 10 days of the Krusevo Republic, Days of Macedonian Music.

Since 2000, Ilieski is a permanent member in Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ilieski is the first President and one of the founders of the Union of the Culture of the Republic of Macedonia, established in 2014.
